Support Animals in Distress
Animals in Distress relies on donations and community support to rescue, treat and care for sick, injured and abandoned animals.
From emergency rescues and veterinary treatment to food, shelter and rehabilitation, every donation helps give animals the care and second chance they deserve.
Why Your Support Matters
Animals in Distress relies entirely on donations and community support to continue rescuing and caring for animals in need.
Emergency rescues, veterinary treatment, food, shelter and rehabilitation all require significant funding. With two sanctuaries to maintain and rising veterinary costs, support from the community is essential to keep this work going.
Emergency Rescue
Our 24-hour emergency rescue work is one of the most challenging and unpredictable parts of what we do.
Many cases involve road accidents where owners cannot be found, and animals require immediate veterinary care.
Veterinary Treatment
Veterinary care can be expensive. Treating injured animals, performing x-rays and providing ongoing medical care all add to the cost of running the sanctuary.
Every rescued animal receives professional treatment and the time needed to recover.
Sanctuary & Daily Care
The two sanctuaries have ongoing costs including food, disinfectants, insurance, transport and maintenance.
These facilities provide a safe place for animals to recover and receive long-term care when needed.
Ways You Can Help
Supporting Animals in Distress can take many forms. Whether donating, fundraising or contributing supplies, every act of support helps animals receive the care they need.

Animals in Distress has been rescuing and caring for sick, injured and abandoned animals since 1967.
Every rescue, veterinary treatment and sanctuary placement is only possible thanks to the support of people like you.
Your donation helps us continue providing emergency rescue, medical care and safe sanctuary for animals who have nowhere else to go.
As a small independent charity, we are facing increasing costs and more demand than ever for our services. Every day we are called to help animals in urgent need.
We rely entirely on public support to continue. Without donations, we simply could not provide the care and rescue work these animals depend on.
